“infamous: charlie sheen” comic book…

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

the infamous charlie sheen’s meltdown isn’t only hitting the tv, internet radar but comic book as well.

bluewater productions is working on a new biographical comic about the life of recently fired from two and a half men sheen.

ready your dehumidifier because the topic is hot! it is about “sheen’s life, career, and recent shocking behavior”.

charlie’s comic book will be a 32-page illustration entitled: “infamous: charlie sheen” and it will debut sometime this summer said it’s author mark shapiro. the comic book will be illustrated by fred grivaud.

bluewater president darren davis already defended the controversy regarding the comic book saying:

“we’re not looking to exacerbate what could be a sad situation; a public person self-destructing on camera. we can all laugh how outrageous sheen is behaving, all waiting for the next ‘duh. winning’ moment, but i want to make sure that part of the focus of this issue deals fairly with mental health and substance abuse issues,”

“there are those who are going to complain that we are exploiting sheen. but honestly, this is no different than people magazine devoting most of an issue to the story or tmz or slate or the general media’s constant coverage of breaking developments. if sheen contacted us right now and wanted us to donate some of the potential profits to a charity of his choosing, we would happily do so.”

barack obama on cover of spider-man comic book…

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

the newly president-elect barack obama will be in a special inauguration day issue of marvel’s “the amazing spiderman.”

the story, featured in issue no. 538, spider-man will attempt to stop one of his foes from interfering inauguration.  barack  obama will be later introduced to spider-man and the two will share one of the politician’s signature fist-bumps.

“it was a natural after we learned the new president is a spider-man fan,” marvel editor in chief joe quesada told usa today on thursday. “we thought, ‘fantastic! we have a comic-book geek in the white house.’”

“we do our best to be completely non-partisan and treat presidents with respect. this is not so much a pro-obama statement but a tip of the hat to having a spider-man fan in the white house.”

president-elect barack obama admitted during his campaign that his favorite superheroes are spider-man and batman and that he even collected spider-man memorabilia.

the issue will be out at comic book stores on january 14 for $3.99.
