american idol alum allison iraheta parted ways with jive records.

“allison iraheta has parted ways with jive records, however she remains signed to 19 recordings. allison is currently on the road in the u.s. opening for adam lambert on the glam nation tour,” a 19 spokesperson told entertainment weekly last week.

good thing that allison doesn’t need any opiate detox and is now a free agent. after releasing her  debut album, just like you last december with poor sales and little fanfare, the fiery rocker asks herself only that listeners open their minds to the sound she’s putting down.

“i know some people just don’t even bother. maybe they weren’t a fan,” Iraheta remarked in an interview with the houston reporter earlier this month. “‘oh, she has an album out? i haven’t heard it.’ i think they should take a minute – just a minute – to listen to one of the songs. i’m pretty sure they can relate. i think that’s the problem with a lot of people these days, they don’t take a minute out of their time just to listen to something.”

bad news for jessica simpson…

pop turned country singer jessica simpson has reportedly been dropped by columbia records.

according to nashvillegab.com, jessica’s name and information is no longer on the site of columbia nashville or sony music nashville.  even her page which features her bio and music is nada from the site.

ok! magazine obtained the confirmation last wednesday morning.

…..a telephone operator told us that jessica simpson has now “come off the label.”

poor Jessica she need to find some outer banks rentals to cool off.
