amy winehouse dead…

Monday, July 25th, 2011

amy winehouse was found dead in her london house.

according to amy’s representative, amy “died alone in bed” and was found to be unresponsive by a bodyguard.

the singer was only 27 years old.

even though the singer battled years of substance abuse, the singer’s publicist, chris goodman,  insists that there “was no wild party” and that amy spent her last hours with andrew morris before going to bed alone – only to die in her sleep.

“at this stage no one knows how she died,” chris said.

one thing is for sure, amy didn’t die from fat burners.

“there has been speculation that she had taken drugs and we can’t say anything until the autopsy has been done. there was no wild party, she died alone in bed.

“amy was on her own at home apart from a security guard who we had appointed to help look after her over the past couple of years.

“she was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep and when he went to wake her he found she wasn’t breathing. he called the emergency services straight away. he was very shocked.”

crispin beltran…

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

i’m not much into politics…

yet somehow…when i saw this in the news…i felt so sad…

it’s about the untimely death of congressman crispin beltran…

he is (was) was a filipino politician and a labor leader..a critic of president gloria macapagal-arroyo.

as a member of 13th congress of the philippines with the anakpawis or the ‘toiling masses partylist’ and former chair of kilusang mayo uno (kmu), a militant and progressive labor movement, he had been a major figure in contemporary filipino history.

he was one of the poor congressmen, having a net worth of  P27,000.  having said that, i believe that his purpose in entering politics to help his countymen…especially the poor…

the cause of his death…as silly as it may seem, is because he is fixing the roof of his house.  a 75 year old man…not to mention a congressman…doing household chores…just shows much on how he lives (lived) his life..

when his house was featured…i was overwhelmed on how simple his life is…ordinary…yet so special to many…

for some reason…i can’t help being sad…somehow, i feel the loss…
